Chapman D. Sweat
Chap Sweat brings over a decade of legal experience to the Sweat Law Firm, LLC, where his primary focus is bringing buyers, sellers, lenders, and agents together to close on the sale of real estate. In this regard, Chap especially enjoys guiding first-time home buyers through the sometimes daunting process of home ownership.
The son of a real estate attorney in nearby Waycross, Georgia, Chap learned at an early age how to check real estate titles and solve complicated title issues that may arise during the closing process.
Chap’s legal experience spans a broad range of practice areas, having begun his career in one of Athens, Georgia's premier law firms specializing in high value personal injury cases. A “Double Dawg,” Chap graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in 2008 with a degree in political science and then graduated in the top 16% of his law school class in 2011.
Outside of the office, Chap attends King of Peace Episcopal Church and is a member of the Southeast Georgia Bulldawg Club. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat of Humanity of Camden County and as chairman of its Finance Committee.
